resentment is the number one offender complacency is what we do when we don’t make it past step 2 If we have turned our will over to the care of God as we understand Him we do not take it back or things will get worse. Can not keep something we do not have nor give it away. The problem centers in the mind the solution is in chapter 4 of the b.b. the how and why in 5 how is the 12 step principles with help the why of it is we had to quit playing God it didn’t work. what keeps it working there after chapter 7 working with others. A few of the many principles in 12 steps are principles
Honesty, hope, trust, courage, humility, faith, willingness, openmindedness, justice, integrity, perserverance, spirituality, forgiveness, mercy, love, patience, tolerance, meekness, temperance, kindness, passion ex……………..

For we are now on a different basis; the basis of trusting and relying upon God. We trust infinite God rather than our finite selves. We are in the world to play the role He assigns. Just to the extent that we do as we think He would have us, and humbly rely on Him, does He enable us to match calamity with serenity.
