While I think that marijuana used in moderation is no worse than having alcoholic drinks than friends for fun, this article should definitely remind us of why it's important for the youngsters not to be smoking the stuff.
Everyone I know who has a problem with weed started in their teens. I suppose there are 23+somethings out there who are still at the emotional level of a teenager drug free or not, but I make a habit of not getting connected with people like that. Just suggesting starting at a younger age puts you in a disposition for this type of thing, whereas it's not as big of an issue when you're grown.
Too all the pot smokers out there:
Take the article seriously. Take a step back and look at your drug usage. Just because weed is technically a lot safer than alcohol and other drugs doesn't mean it's harmless. It's very similar to the concept of alcohol: you're taking a drug that is altering the way you think. Just like it wouldn't be good to get drunk very frequently, it isn't good to get high frequently. In the same way that alcohol is okay with some friends on the weekend, weed can be enjoyed on occasion. It's alright to toke up and have a little fun, but you shouldn't need to smoke it every day to have fun. So chill out if you're a chronic user and learn how to enjoy life without weed again.
To the responsible pot smokers out there...happy toking!

I agree. If you can't handle it, don't do it, simple as pie.

Drugs don’t destroy people, people destroy people, self-destruction included.
