I don't want to hear how 'hard it is' or the 'terrible times' everyone who quits has to go through...I don't want to quit smoking after 27 years of 3 packs a day just to be miserable~ I'm miserable enough being a smoker! I want to be able to change my perception of the withdrawals and look at it as such a positive thing...to be able to say 'Aww heck, I can do THIS, it's really not that bad!' :) Good luck everyone...we've GOT this!

Thank you NYC…I totally agree with you and wanted to say that your input has helped me tremendously! In a way I feel like climbing the walls. I wish I would've read this article before I went cold turkey and my family wild. I wish I had someone to talk to and to talk me through this. It's been so hard, agravating and what not. I have gotten so angry at everyone in my house that I feel like shit. No one knows how hard this has been in order to be supportive. I feel selfish that I've needed support to be able to get through this and still not there yet. I feel worthless and very negotive because if I don't make it and grab another smoke I'm going to feel even worse for failing than the feeling of nicotine withdrawls. If anyone contacts me (email wcac1@bellsouth.net) that understands it would feel like someone cares. Something to hang on to would be streagth, lifeline.....

Hello I haven’t smoked in almost 84 hours. In a way I feel like climbing the walls. I think it comes down too if mentaly you REALLY REALLY want too do it. Other times i wanted to do it because of money and i know i should because of my health but didnt actually see the affects it was doing, so i wanted to but not enough. I have recently had a raelly bad chest infection have been on antibiotics for weeks and its still here. It was getting so bad that i was waking up every single night coughing that much i would need to use an ashma puffer to make it go away because i was litteraly chocking ( i don't have asham either). I decide to try and quit within in two day i was not waking up at all and finding it easier to breath. So I told myself that it wasn't the smoking at all that was making it worse my infection must of cleared up finally. So as you do, when you have a few drinks i caved in i smoked about 15 in one night for the next two nights i was waking up using the puffer again. Since then i have gone 2 weeks without smoking I still want one really bad . I guess you never actually relise how much damage smoking is doing untill you give it away. Im not much of a runner at all but within 4 days of no smoking i could run 3 times furter without being lost for breath or having to have breaks. Is the best feeling when you can actually feel the results. My only weekness is binging on sweet food, but atleast i can run further now to work most of it off lol.

hey guys good to here that everyone is doing so well. this is my third time to quit, but this time i reckon i will stick to it.
