    needing support

my 'day one' was last sunday. it lasted two days until a bad day at work.

Today is my new day one and this has too work.
what do people do to combat the boredom?

im sick and tired of feeling sick and tired. i have no strenght, no energy, my muscles feel 'empty' if you know what i mean. my life has sprialled out of control since i starting drinking.

i just have to do this now and would be grateful for any support that anyone can offer.

I don't know how long you have been drinking or how much but if you feel like you are going to go into physical withdrawal, see a doctor.

That being said, read, read, read this site. There is so much wisdom her.

The first few days, take good care of yourself, like you would a friend. LOTS of water, mild exercise, healthy diet, rest when you are tired.

The exciting part of sobriety is you receive the gift of time back. What do you enjoy? What have you always wanted to do? Think of the money you will save from not drinking and apply it to something else. There were so many things I enjoyed but eventually my life became so small - work then drinking. Do you like to garden, sew, read, movies, museums, travel, exercise, etc? The list is endless. Find your bliss and follow it. That is sobriety's gift (to me.)
