I had a down day yesterday... I think i only got in around 5,000 steps. I think my body was in need of a rest day, as I had really cranked it up at the Y on the Octane machine and both my legs and shoulders were sore. The good news is that the switch from walking to the bike machine for several days really helped my back. It is almost back to normal, so no reason why I should be able to get my ten thousand steps in tonight. Although I have less than 2000 for the day so far. I forgot my fitbit when I went out this morning to the Dr. and grocery store... oh well....

Sally, I am VERY impressed with your mileage. You are kicking butt and taking names.

Hey Sally. Glad you're enjoying some fruits of your labor, with a nice fire to warm up too.

Day 19 complete for me, just now.

day 20 = done. Still need to work on building up endurance, but doing good keeping at it. Yeah. May work out again this evening. Weekends are nice to have extra opportunity. Heading out to science center with the boys in a bit. Meeting up with wife's brother and there kids. Should be a good time. Grand re-opening, so maybe there is some new exhibits.

day 20 done - not much walking today, lot's of home work so only got in 8,712 steps before I called it a day. Which is fine, trying to psych myself up to go to the gym this week - it is just so intimidating. I am an older, semi fat lady, walking into this big gym alone - completely clueless on how to use all those gadgets LOL But I will draw my inner strength and see if I can just do it!!

    Hey folks,
    Good morning.
I have been MIA because I went out of town to see friends and didn't have access. I have gotten slack in my steps the last few days and need to do better this week. I am not going to beat myself up too badly however, because I did get several intensive workouts in at the gym last week, plus a yoga session on Saturday. I am still on track for the St. Patty's day challenge at the Y. I do need to make sure I crank up the effort and get my steps in this week, though. I am very bad about starting something full force, just to peter out a few weeks later. I am glad you two are on this thread with me to get me motivated. Sally, how is your diet going?? Are you going to knock our socks off with your numbers on Wednesday??? Right now I am only a .5 pound down down last weigh in, so am keeping my fingers crossed that will improve before Wednesday. I am going shopping in Costco today, so that should help my steps today.

Here is to a GREAT week. CHEERS

Day 22 is it? Anyway, got a late start at it this evening and wasn't too keen on the idea. Did it anyway, so that is good. Might turn in early tonight, feeling a bit tired at the moment.

10,450 steps for me. I couldn't do it without the gym. LOL.

How long are you supposed to stay on the diet???? Do they have a plan for how to transition you back to real food?? I am a big fan of My fitness Pal....

I have been reading how you are killing yourself motivating Kip. Well Done!!!
If you get back on MFP, you need to let me know, so I can enjoy your posts on there too... I can ALWAYS use a laugh.

P.S. Talking about laughing, I definitely got a chuckle at the thought of Jen coming across the pond to punch you in the kisser... That should give you some indication of how valuable your posts are.

Day 24 done - 11,511 steps....too cold to go outside. I'm just going to keep eating healthy and avoid carbs whenever possible Millie. I did break down today and texted my husband to bring me a Big Mac on his way home from work - it was sooooo good....I don't care if I put on a pound or two for it - it was worth it LOL (oh the diet is 21 days)
