Day 8 Got a 30 minute walk in, not much, but got my 30 inDrove for 6hrs back home yesterday...1.5 of it was in a circle thanks for my GPS screwing up! Anyways, hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! 1 day = 1440 minutes 30 minute workout leaves you with 1410 minutes to do everything else, no excuses
I read this today and thought I would share as it's part of being healthy body mind and soul:
Good Karma
This is a nice reading, but short. Enjoy! Some say this is from the Dalai Lama. All it takes is a few seconds to read and a lifetime to live.
Instructions for Life
-Take into account that great love and great achievements involve great risk.
-When you lose, don’t lose the lesson.
- Follow the three R’s
Respect for self,
Respect for other’s and
Responsibility for all your actions.
-Remember that not getting what you want is sometimes a wonderful stroke of luck.
- Learn the rules so you know how to break them properly.
-Don’t let a little dispute injure a great relationship.
-When you realize you’ve made a mistake, take immediate steps to correct it.
-Spend some time alone every day.
-Open arms to change, but don’t let go of your values.
-Remember that silence is sometimes the best answer.
-Live a good, honorable life. Then when you get older and think back, you’ll be able to enjoy it a second time.
-A loving atmosphere in your home is the foundation for your life.
-In disagreements with loved ones, deal only with the current situation. Don’t bring up the past.
-Share your knowledge. It’s a way to achieve immortality.
-Be gentle with the earth.
-Once a year, go someplace you’ve never been before.
-Remember that the best relationship is one in which your love for each other exceeds your need for each other.
-Judge your success by what you had to give up in order to get it.
-Approach love and cooking with reckless abandon.

Hi Erin, Hi Dreamweaver,
Got in 45 minutes or so tonight.

Good morning, everyone! Hi ToddDreamweaver, Kat, Sylvane... hello to you, as well! Beth, Sue, Ken, Julie... everyone still out there? Millie's been MIA for a while now... did you give up on us, Millie??
Today is Day 42. I weighed myself for the first time in probably 3 weeks today (don't like to do it too much as it becomes an obsession), and I am down 6 pounds. Made my morningMy first goal is to lose another 30, then I'll reevaluate and see where I want to go from there.
I am smiling today because I'm seeing progress and I'm sticking to it. It's not easy to get up every day and do this, especially when you're already tired. I know someone that gets up at 2 AM daily and does a far more strenuous workout than I do, and that's what I think of when I need to kick myself in the ass. That, and Jillian. lol
So many things suck in my life right now, and if I chose to dwell on them 24/7, my attitude would be shitty as well. But shit begets shit, and I'm tired of shit. lmao I'll be optimistic and think positive if it kills me. (Hope you all caught the irony in that.)
Have a wonderful day!!
Soldier it, Sylvane! You can do it, you are awesome!! All the times you pep-talked me when I was feeling like I couldn't do it, I owe it to you to do the same. A minor setback is all it was, don't listen to that voice that's telling you you screwed up. I am proud of you for not giving up!! You inspire me, girl. Nothin' but love for you here.

Erin, Congrats on the -6lbs.
Sylvane, glad your starting a fresh 30. I'm sure it will help you get your spirits back up quicker. Sorry to here about your set back though.
Hi Kat, Hi Dreamweaver,
I got in 25min walk before my flight today. Good thing too. The work out room in the hotel closed at ten and I didn,t get in until 10:30. I would have like to get a little more time in though and they have an elliptical which I like. I don't have anything early tomorrow, so I will try get down in the morning.
Take care, Todd
Todd, thank you!
Sylvane, awesome! And anytime. That's what I'm here for... although now I've got the "Golden Girls" theme song playing in my head. lol
Hello to the rest of you out there!!
Today is Day 43, and I'm still feeling good. I hope to keep it going! I almost forgot to post today!
Everyone, have a great evening!
Hey everyone,
My schedule changed today, so wasn't able to workout this morning. Have plenty of time before my flight back, so I just got 30 minute walk in. Rewarded myself with a scoop of butter pecan. Oh, well. I won't make it home until after midnight, so I may do some more walking later. They have a used book store here, so I think I'll pop in and see if ther is anything interesting.
Yaaaaaayyyyyy SylvaneAnd yes, that is the song I was thinking of yesterday! lol
Great job, Todd! Mmm... butter pecan. One of my favorites.
I've been doing soooo good all week, eating lots of veggies, small portions throughout the day, lots of water... then last night we had a late night so we ate supper at McDonald's. Crazy how fast my body got used to the healthier foods, because I had a stomachache last night and still this morning, and just felt kind of crappy! I did exercise this morning but I admit I didn't put my all into it, and I wonder if it was all the gross greasy food that made me feel sub-par.
Anyway... Day 44! I fully intend to keep sticking to the plan over the weekend, but I doubt I'll be posting again before Monday. Have a great weekend, everyone!
Hi Sylvane, Sounds like your doing good.
Erin, Your McDonalds dinner story makes me smile a bit. Hope tonight's dinner was more enjoyable. You're probably right about your body not wanting it, if your on a healthier diet now. What makes me laugh is I've always enjoyed lots food choices that are health, but for many years when I was drinking, they weren't really counting for much.
Got ten minutes walking the dog with my son, then 20 more on the bike. Missed the 8:00 SMART meeting, but there's a 10:00 one tonight too. I feel better after the bike, than I do when I can only get walking in. It's a little more energy and that's probably why I would guess.
Hi Kat, Hi Dreamweaver, and anyone else if you're following this thread.
Hey everyone,
Only got a fifteen minute walk in earlier with the dog. Planned on going back out on the bike, but didn't get to it before dark. Heading out now to get another fifteen, but definately not feeling like it. At least it's the weekend. Should have plenty of time for the bike tomorrow. Don't remember what the plans for Sunday are.
Was overcast with of and on rain here today. I got 20 min on the bike in earlier and a midnight walk with the dog. Hope tomorrow's nicer. Did get some baking in today though.
Hi Sylvane, Hi Erin,
Anyone else checking in still? Got 30 min in this morning. Heading out now, lunch, errands and taking the kids to a movie. Something with pirates and claymation is what they want to see. Maybe will grill tonight if the rest doesn't go too long.
