    Milk Thistle

    Does anyone have any information about milk thistle? I have been told it is good for the liver which takes a beating from alcohol.

    Regina-there is medical information on the Mayo Clinic website about milk thistle. It gives some information on the website about it.

    Hi Regina, I was taking the Milk Thistle and a product called Liver Aid, and my Doctor told me NOT to take the Milk Thistle and put me on 1000mg of vitamin E instead. If you google the Vitamin E, a new study is out that recommends at least 800mg of Vitamin E if your starting to get or have got a fatty liver. Hope that helps. Take care!!
