What is your favorite non-alcoholic beverage/specialty drink? I'm really loving a lemon/lime sparkling water, with lime wedge, and sliced ginger. The lime wedge and ginger really bring out the bubbles.

Does anyone have any good recipes for homemade ice tea or lemonade? Thx!

Well, I make loads of ice tea - by boiling water and pouring into a pitcher (that can take the heat) over 3 bags of tea (I like peppermint, also caffeine free, or mix regular with a herbal). Let steep for a good 30 minutes-1hour. Fill up the rest of the pitcher with water - you can remove the bags, or I just keep 'em in. Chill. If you want to drink it sooner -- fill up with ice cubes, lots of ice cubes.

Also, I've been making my own soda bases. I make a simple syrup - 1 cup sugar to 1 cup water. Put in a pan and bring to a simmer/boil, stirring to dissolve the sugar. While this is going on, I add in my flavor (usually lots of fresh ginger). Once the sugar is dissolved, let steep for an hour. Occasionally mash everything together and stir. Strain out the flavorings and chill the base. You can use as a flavored sweetner for ice tea or mix with club soda. I am going to try lemongrass-ginger and strawberry-basil-mint.

kjbp-Have you tried the Yogi pomegranite yet? My local health food store said they might be getting it in Thursday.

Crystal Light-yummy flavors, they have new mocktail flavors for summer.

Here's a link I found with pages of non-alcoholic drink ideas. Enough here for every day of the year! I haven't found my way through all of them, but looks to be some very good suggestions!

Wow, I need to be more adventurous! So far I've stuck with Slimline Tonic or Bitter Lemon or just plain water. Completely off Diet Coke which we bought by the shedload for mixing with the booze. Do like Frappucino but no Starbucks near me. Will need to look at kjbp's recipes.

I make a refrigerator ice tea by combining Celestial Seasonings Wild Berry Zinger tea with chamomile and decaf green tea. It is tasty, no calories, and good for you! (If you believe the stuff about green tea!) :-)

I just bought my New Years Eve drink at Trader Joes. Can't claim it's my favorite as I don't recall having it before, but it's "sparkling cranberry flavored juice beverage". Well it looks prettier in the bottle than it types out as. I know I could accomplish the same thing by mixing cranberry juice and sparkling water, which was a favorite for a long time, but somehow it seemed more festive to pour it out of one bottle.

I think I may do something I haven't done for a long while which is to pull out a martini glass and put a sugar glaze in the rim and chill it before I put in the fizzy juice. Sounds yummy. Now to figure out a yummy treat to go along with it.

I've been a sparkling water type for 10+ years, so that is just a natural one for me.

As a special treat though I really like Izze. They are fruit juice with sparkling water, so taste like a fruit flavored pop (or soda if you don't live in Michigan). They have them in the local grocery stores up here and the Costco.

Diet Coke, of course. My kids tell me not to drink so much. I also like sparkling water with lots of ice and lemon or lime. When I was pregnant, I would drink it mixed with lemon-aid. Also, hot herb tea this time of year before bed. But mostly, Diet Coke.

I had a Yummy drink at a bar the other night: Setzer water with Cranberry AND a splash of Grapefruit. The grapefruit is the key. Yummy
