You can do whatever you set your mind to. It took me many visits to rehabs before I found one I trusted, and therefore listened to with hope. My brother died when he was 32. He was found nearly frozen on a street in Boston. I laid by his side until alcohol and drugs stole him from us. I went back to school and will receive my AS in psychology on October 22, 2011. I will then begin my BA. I am 54 and committed to finding affordable help for all whom seek it. My dream today is to open my own center where all those who work with others have beat addiction, and used the knowledge of experience to reach out for others. Too many people do this work for profit reasons. I understand the need to make money, but I care more about the human life. Going in for treatment is the only way to start recovery, and I know youcan make it.
It is not as difficult as life is when we are addicted to a habit that will kill us if we don't stop. Have faith in yourself. I assure you, when you find your true self you will be amazed at who you really are, and what you are truly capable of doing. I used to feel as though I had been cursed. Today my addictions have become my most treasured blessings. I know that sounds really weird, but it is true. I hope you feel very soon the same way. Never give up on yourself. You are loved, and so many care about you. You just haven't met these people yet. Go ahead, give it a try. Then go be the voice so many need to hear.

I just want to remind all of you that you are most definately worth saving. I myself am heading to rehab for the first time in a few days, I just hope that i really do want this and stick it out; Otherwise i literally am a dead man.

I agree, this webpage is extremely well written and describes the queries that many people deciding to go into treatment may have.
