This year, a marathon and going back to college are on my agenda so I am definitely getting creative. It is amazing how much better life gets now that I am sober. Not always easy but certainly a better quality of life. I am going to spend more time working on Recovery Princess so I can share with others what I have learned.
Thanks for all your posts, I am off to catch up on the last few days.
Happy New Year to you!!!

Thanks Patrick. I will keep you updated. Thank you so much for the kind words, hope everything is going smooth in your recovery and that you've got some real creative efforts going on in your life. Six months sober is a big deal, not just a drop in the bucket and if you can do it for that long then you are learning what it takes to live a new life without alcohol. Sounds like you are doing just that, keep on trucking and please keep us posted on how you are doing!

Hi there Madison!

Thank you so much for the kind words, hope everything is going smooth in your recovery and that you’ve got some real creative efforts going on in your life. This is a great post.
I am now approaching six months of sobriety and I have not been to an AA meeting. I did try AA about six years ago when I first tried to get sober but I just didn't want my whole life to become focused on meetings, it seemed so intense to me that I decided against it this time around.
I spent the last 14 years of my life as an active alcoholic so giving up alcohol was no easy task. This is the longest that I have been sober in all that time and I feel so lucky to have finally plucked up the courage to try and make a better life for myself and my family.
I have been out of touch for a while but I have been reading your posts daily and they always give me strength and perspective when I need it most so thanks for all the effort and knowledge you put into these posts, these help me more than any AA meetings could.

Hi Patrick,

This is a great post.<br
